We have updated our on-site rules and procedures for safe access and the mitigation of risk of Coronavirus transmission.
All students, faculty and staff attending site are expected to undertake twice weekly LFD COVID asymptomatic tests, three days apart, to ensure that you are not an asymptomatic carrier of Covid-19 and to help keep facilities available for everyone. The tests are free and you will have the result in around half an hour. Please be ready to show confirmation of your negative test result on entry to the building. You are asked to undertake tests twice a week because a very low viral load that may not be detected in the first test of the week is likely to develop enough to be detected three days later. For more information access the Student On-site Procedure or email us.
If you receive a positive test result, you must inform the Institute and you will need to self-isolate. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for next steps.
You can access tests in the following ways:
- Obtain kits from Reception at SIA.
- Access kits to take the tests at home. Details here.

If you feel unwell and require non-urgent medical advice relating to Covid-19 or any other matter, click here or dial 111. Do not attend class with a temperature, cough or any cold-like symptoms– we can also take temperatures for reassurance should there be any concerns. You may be contacted by NHS Test and Trace, or by SIA, to take daily LFD tests if you have been in close contact with someone who tests positive for Covid-19. You must cooperate to stop the spread of the virus.
